Newsletter Inserts

The Homer Chamber of Commerce produces a monthly electronic and hard-copy newsletter which is mailed to our over 560 Chamber members. The Chamber offers insert space in this newsletter for a fee to Primary Business & Multiple Primary Business members only. The newsletter is generally e-mailed and mailed the last week of the month.

 

Space Must Be Reserved

Call the Executive Assistant at the Chamber at 235-7740 to
reserve insert space.

Reserve your space by the 15th of the month for mailing at the end of that month.

Limited Space: Insert space is limited to one insert per business per year.

 

All Inserts Must Be Pre-approved

A draft MUST be provided PRIOR to copying inserts. The Chamber reserves the right to decline any insert that may be perceived as sensitive material. A draft can be faxed to the Executive Assistant at 235-8766 or emailed to alyssa@homeralaska.org.  Please make note in the subject line that it is a "draft for a newsletter insert". Include a contact name and phone number.

NOTE: The Chamber of Commerce does not allow insertion of political material of any kind. Exceptions can be made for information on issues that the Chamber has stated its position.

Content: The Chamber reserves the right to approve content of all inserts

Copies

ONCE THE PROOF HAS BEEN APPROVED, 200-300 copies must be provided to the Chamber, call for exact number. Deadline is generally the 3rd or 4th Monday of the month, call for exact date. Please keep in mind that the schedule is sometimes adjusted for holidays or special events. For the electronic newsletter, a Word or PDF copy of the insert is required. If you cannot provide one, inform the Executive Assistant and the Chamber will create one from your insert that was dropped off.

 

Cost

New members will receive one free insert their first year of membership. New members must request this free insert from the Executive Assistant at the time they reserve their space.

Payment is expected when you drop off your copies at the Chamber. Payment can be made by cash,
check or credit card. You may call the Executive Assistant at the Chamber directly and pay with a credit card over the phone. Invoices are available upon request.

$50 Profit Members 8.5' x 11' insert (any color, 1-2 sided, non-folded)
$100 Profit Members Any other size (includes postcards, rack cards, brochures, etc.)
$25 Non-Profit Members 8.5' x 11' insert (any color, 1-2 sided, non-folded)
$50 Non-Profit Members  Any other size (includes postcards, rack cards, brochures, etc.)
