- Chamber Meetings
- 1st Alaskan Veterans Halibut Fishing Tournament
was a huge success! It was a fantastic day, weather was
incredible and what a great day to go fishing. Three ports participated
-Homer, Valdez and Whittier. Each port had a winner for the largest halibut
caught ($300 prize) and an overall winner ($500 prize). Homer took the
overall halibut of 112.2 lbs caught by Timothy Heath of Elmendorf AFB, AK.
Scott Crook took port prize
of 81 lbs. For
